The Baltimore DanceTech ballet curriculum is based on the Vaganova syllabus. We offer a graduated study of Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Tap, and Hip Hop techniques. The curriculum encompasses two divisions that are carefully designed to introduce the correct technique and instruction appropriate for the age and physical development of the student. Our classes are designed to enhance rhythm, coordination, grace, strength, flexibility, and self-confidence. Classes are scheduled to correspond with the school year, September to June.
The Directors of Baltimore DanceTech determine class placement. Class placement is based on age, experience, physical strength, and ability. Promotion is considered on the basis of individual achievement. Accordingly, classes are not necessarily promoted as groups.
