STEPHANIE POWELL

STEPHANIE POWELL is Artistic Director of the Stephanie Powell DanseEnsemble, Glory to God Arts Ministry, Restoration Community Dance Ministry, In The Spirit Dance Ministry, and director of Baltimore DanceTech, Inc. Ms. Powell is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with a Masters Degree in Liberal Arts. Her undergraduate degree in Dance Education with Certification and Performance/Choreography was obtained from Goucher College. She is a graduate of the Baltimore School of the Bible where she received a diploma in church ministries.  She was on the faculty of the Baltimore School for the Arts for twenty-one years and is currently teaching at Carver Center for the Arts and Technology.  Ms. Powell has also served as the ballet and modern dance instructor for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Dallas Black Dance Theater, Cirque du Soleil, The Lion King, and The Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre.

YVONNE E. WALKER

Yvonne E. Walker is a graduate of Sojourner Douglass College with a degree in Business Administration and is a Budget Analyst for Baltimore City Public Schools.  Ms. Walker  the Board Chair of the International Association of Blacks In Dance (IABD) and serves on the Board of Directors of the Stephanie Powell DanceEnsemble, The Dance Guild of Baltimore, and Dance Baltimore!  She is a Silver Lifetime Member of the NAACP and she was honored as Woman of the Year by Justice, Unity, Generosity, Service, Inc.  (J.U.G.S.).  Recently she was honored as one of the Philanthropist of the Year by the International Association of Black Triathletes.  Miss Walker brings over 40 years of operations management and customer service experience to Baltimore DanceTech.
